I’m also a big fan of the push button but the screw is where Elliott falls short to me. Much more resistance than kat eyez or collins. If you found one for the price of a stainless kat eyez you got an incredible deal. They’re $215 for an elite these days. I saw one sell for $180 used last week.

Feb 12, 2022 · The Collins comes in about 35g so I'm guessing the Kat Eyez is lighter. But the thing I like about the Collins vs Elliot Elite is the smoothness of the thumb screw motion. The Collins has higher threads per inch than the screw on the Elliott which makes it operate much smoother. Does the Kat Eyez have a smooth tightening action?

Sep 14, 2015 · The larger thumbscrew is an interesting facet as well. The Kat Eyz has a 1/4" screw which makes it quicker to spin up AND limits the amount of pressure immediately applied. I do make and offer a 3/8" knurled thumbscrew but it does bring with it a little caution because you can really torque up a capo!. Great thread!!

I have a Kat Eyz capo (serial number 1, no less) and I think it is the best I ever used. If price is the issue, a Paige is good as well.
