Depending upon the mod in question, it may be compatible with mods that alter her hair color or eye color. It should be compatible with simple changes to her texture, and likely changes to her head mesh. Although I think the old one was way better, I also don't like this new hairstyle because according to Shadowheart in a different playthrough where you kill Nightsong, it's a hairstyle that's made to suit and resemble Lady Shar's image better, so I don't think it was a good decision to still give her the same hairstyle despite that.
