The last perk un-summons your atronachs and let undeath run away. Personally, I've never took the last perk. Sword is better in normal combat. But if you play assassin and got assassins blade perk use dagger. Daggers are better if you have the Sneak perk for them. Also if you have DB armour on so you get the ×30 multiplier happening. If you were also going to be sneaky use dagger otherwise use sword since it can also block.

Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) I'm having the same problem. Running the latest Skyrim/SKSE with all 3 DLC packs. Casting Bound Sword or Bound Dagger using either hand causes an immediate CTD. Casting Bound Bow and Bound Battleaxe works just fine. Nothing in the Papyrus log points to a script problem as the culprit.Bound weapons are great, I don’t think I’d be able to take down a dragon without my bound bow. But for any other build, where you don’t have a self-imposed restriction on weapon use, bound weapons are vastly inferior. tl;dr Bound weapons are pretty good for a mage. The arrows always do 24 damage. With enchanting, it does far beyond what a dragonbone bow with dragonbone arrows smithed ro legendary would do.
